Sonia Shahid is currently leading the Marketing and Distribution pillar of BOP Innovation Center (BoP Inc) in the South Asian region. Based in Bangladesh, Sonia is involved with local as well multinational FMCG companies and last mile distributors, working to improve their model for financial sustainability and economic and social impact. She has over 14 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Training within the corporate and development sector. 

Sonia started her career through advertising, working with the largest agency in Bangladesh – Asiatic 360. Before BOP Inc, she was the National Head of Sales, Marketing and Training in Tupperware Brands for the Bangladesh market. Throughout her career, she has worked in building marketing and distribution models for many brands like Tupperware, Singapore Airlines, Lux, Shakti Doi, Choco Moja, Meena Bazar & Meena Foods (GFAPL), Igloo, Sajida Foundation, etc, in different capacities.

She is a business graduate from North South University and BRAC University who loves working on new sales/distribution models led exclusively by women, developing mobile enterprise solutions for field sales entrepreneurs and facilitating coaching sessions for young women entrepreneurs. She is an avid reader and loves experimenting with new concepts, technologies, and new ways of doing things in business and in life. In her free time, she works with her close community to mentor future entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas to develop them into successful start-ups.
