Save the Children

Michel Anglade is Save the Children’s Campaigns and Advocacy Director for Asia, based in Singapore. He supports Save the Children country offices across Asia to advocate better practices and policies to fulfil children’s rights.

In Asia, Michel leads Save the Children’s flagship campaign “Every Last Child”, a campaign to ensure that the most deprived and marginalised children survive, learn and are protected. Michel coordinates Save the Children’s policy work on the Sustainable Development Goals in Asia.

He also manages advocacy and communication in times of large disasters in Asia, like the 2015 Nepal earthquake, the 2013 typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines and more recently the Rohingya refugee crisis in Bangladesh.

Prior to his present position, Michel Anglade worked for Oxfam from 2000 to 2011, in various leadership positions in Asia and in Africa. He started working in the field of humanitarian and development in 1995 and undertook various assignments with Doctors without Borders and with Action Against Hunger in Armenia, Sudan, Somalia and North Korea.
