Klaus Kraemer is the Managing Director of the Sight and Life Foundation (www.sightandlife.org), a nutrition think tank headquartered in Switzerland funded primarily by DSM, and Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of International Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Sight and Life innovates in nutrition towards eradicating all forms of malnutrition in children and women of childbearing age and so improve the lives of the world’s most vulnerable populations. Sight and Life’s three strategic areas are to advance research, share best practices, and mobilise support to benefit the world’s undernourished. Sight and Life acts responsibly to disseminate information that reflects current knowledge and evolving scientific evidence. Sight and Life strongly values and promotes partnerships which aim to solve outstanding nutrition problems assisting in scaling-up proven nutrition interventions.
Klaus provides leadership, vision, and direction, guides a global team across 4 continents, interacts with funders and partners, and is the key spokesperson. He edits Sight and Life magazine, serves several professional societies, is a reviewer for many journals, has published over 130 scientific articles, reviews, and book chapters, and has co-edited 12 books and coordinated four special supplements.Back to Speakers / Panellists »
