Angela Ryan-Rappaport joined Nutrition International as Manager, Strategy & Growth in September 2017. Nutrition International is a global organization, headquartered in Ottawa, which works to create effective and sustainable solutions to malnutrition. In her role, Angela engages partners and investors from governments, foundations, multilateral agencies and the private sector to improve the nutritional status of the world’s most vulnerable people – especially women, adolescents and girls.

Prior to joining Nutrition International, Angela supported strategic partnerships and resource mobilization through both staff and consulting assignments for a wide variety of international development organizations, including the United Nations’ International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), where she led the development of an innovative private sector partnership focused on cancer prevention and treatment in Africa, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where she supported UNDP’s Regional Hub in Istanbul and regional governments to assess modalities for private sector engagement. At UNICEF, she served as a corporate alliance specialist supporting over 150 field offices, developed UNICEF’s corporate engagement strategy for Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and created a resource mobilization strategy for UNICEF Philippines.

Angela has provided capacity building in resource mobilization to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) South East Asia Regional Office and member country Ministries of Health, the Indian Red Cross, and several national and international NGOs in Asia and Africa. She has also served as Director of Development for CREA, a leading global-South women’s rights organization based in New Delhi. Over the past ten years, Angela has lived and worked in Botswana, Austria, India, Vietnam, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the Philippines. She holds an MBA with a specialisation in Non-profit Management and Leadership from the Schulich School of Business.
